North-western NSW and Southern Qld, 2009–10

A Bush Blitz was conducted between November 2009 and May 2010 in nine reserves in north‑western New South Wales and southern Queensland, targeting recent additions to the National Reserve System (NRS). A total of 557 species were added to those known previously across the reserves. Ten putative species new to science were discovered — these await assessment. Seven threatened animal species were identified, as well as one threatened plant, which is a new record for the reserves. Twenty-three exotic or pest fauna species and 33 weed species were also identified.
